Monday is Shushan Purim. Jerusalem will be celebrating in style so next week I'll be guiding just one public tour - on Wednesday. On Wednesday March 3rd we'll follow in the footsteps of Crusaders in Jerusalem. The Crusaders conquered Jerusalem in 1099 and massacred its inhabitants. They redeveloped it as a destination for pilgrims. When they were finally driven out they left behind a rich architectural heritage. We'll explore some of their buildings and follow the story of the Crusader Kingdom of Jerusalem. We'll meet at 9.30am just outside the Jaffa Gate.
