A new blog post "Kaiser Wilhelm II, Vincent van Gogh and Herod the Great: Exhibitions of Genius and Madness" introduces a new season of tours for Tour With Jack. We will visit the model of Second Temple Period Jerusalem, the Archaeology Wing and the fabulous new exhibition “Herod the Great: The King’s Final Journey” at the Israel Museum. We will meet at 2.00 pm on Wednesday April 3rd in the entrance foyer of the museum. The tour will cost 50 shekels plus museum entrance. Places are limited on this tour. Make sure you register in advance. On Yom Ha'atzmaut, Tuesday April 16th join me to tour "North Along the Seam Line: from Mount Zion to the Turjeman Post". We'll walk through the Musrara neighbourhood where Moshe Dayan and Abdulla a-Tal drew the cease fire line, past the site of the Mandelbaum Gate to the Turjeman Post, now the home of the Museum on the Seam. The tour will cost 75 shekels. Meet at 9.30 am just outside the Zion Gate. New tours in the pipeline include: Hostels and Hotels in the Old City, A Glimpse into the World of the Hassidim, a new look at the history of Medicine in Jerusalem, the neighbourhoods of Talpiyot.and Baka. Don't forget to wear comfortable shoes and to bring hats and water. Each tour lasts 2-3 hours.
