Crusaders on September 6th. Shanah Tovah.

posted Sep 2, 2010, 9:46 PM by Jack Cadranel
As Rosh Hashanah  begins on Wednesday evening I have just one tour this week.

The tour on Monday September 6th follows in the footsteps of the Crusaders in Jerusalem.  The Crusaders conquered Jerusalem in 1099 and massacred its inhabitants.  They redeveloped it as a destination for pilgrims.  When they were finally driven out they left behind a rich architectural heritage.  Explore some of their buildings and follow the story of the Crusader Kingdom of Jerusalem.
Meet at 2.30pm just outside the Jaffa Gate.

Please wear comfortable shoes and bring hats and water and dress modestly for this tour.  The tour lasts 2-3 hours and costs NIS 60 per person plus a site entrance fee of NIS 2.  Please register in advance 054-647-8955 or
tourwithjack@gmail.com .

Coming up in the following week: On Monday September 13th at 2.30 p.m. Breaking Out of the Walls of the Old City - from Montefiore to HaRav Kook.  On Wednesday September 15th Ethiopia Street.
