On Monday September 26th take A Walk Along the Cease Fire Line from the United Nations to Yemin Moshe. Discover the quirks and crazinesses of the 1948-1967 Cease Fire Line as it cut through Jerusalem. The tour follows a wonderfully scenic route along the Haas and Sherover Promenades through the Arab and Jewish neighbourhood of Abu Tor to Yemin Moshe. Along the way it visits a museum of Jerusalem's secret cable car that brought supplies to our troops on Mount Zion.
Meet at 9.30 a.m. in the parking lot of the Haas Promenade (Tayelet) near the UN building. (Bus No8).
Coming up the following week are tours of the Southern Wall Excavations on Monday October 3rd and of Nachlaot and the Mahane Yehuda Market on Wednesday October 5th.
